Thuja occidentalis

Degroot Spire

Description

Thuja occ. ‘Degroot Spire’, a cultivar of the Western Tree of Life, is a columnar, slender, ascending dark green conifer. The tree gets a purple tinge in winter. Fun fact: If you rub the foliage it smells like citrus. With the summer temperatures you come with this conifer in Mediterranean atmospheres. It lends itself perfectly to vertical accents in the garden. Great with heather or rock plants.
